Overview
Pick up at the lobby of your hotel in Ouarzazate and drive towards Zagora via the Anti Atlas and Tizi-n-Tinifift pass to reach Agdez and the Draa valley with its forest of the palm trees that extends to more than 200 km. In the centre of this little town you will see the famous panel “Tombouctou 52 days” the cradle of Saadian dynasty who ruled Morocco during the fifteenth century. 18 km after Zagora on the way to Mhamid is the old village of Tamgroute with its mediaeval library of more than 2000 old Koran books that goes back to 11 century. You will continue after that to see the first sand dune of Tinfou where you can ride a camel or just walk over the sand dunes. Lunch will be in Zagora then return to Ouarzazate in the afternoon.
